Kinectimals Review

The Microsoft Xbox 360 Kinect game Kinectimals gets an A for Adorableness. In terms of fun, for top-rated games Kinect Kinectimals easily is the best game ever. According to most, you can accept that the motion sensor game rocks, then you can select an island to investigate wild cats, play these mini-games along the way, and your child has fun interacting with the game. You can play games with the adopted cat, PET, and he teaches you how to move along with him.

You will play through the fun of the tutorial of that game. Then someone will want to play the game with you. This game is geared to the most fun aspect of special children. How to end the game after the mandatory statement, the game will cause a little bit, and children, and probably interact with the island will be a blast. This top-notch and the animations and the movement of a cat, or a single issue of any real stories, children's games, and have to have simplicity.

Xbox 360 Kinect Game Reviews

The comparison that everyone including game developers want to make -- including Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony -- is how the Xbox 360 Kinect stacks  against the Move for the Playstation 3. Going by the numbers, picking up the Sony PS3 Move starter bundle and one extra controller is the same price, and in that fun setup you also will get a two-player gaming experience. Sony Move's Super Sports Champions is not arguably a much stronger bundled game title compared with Kinect Adventures. But, c'mon really, we feel like both of the systems -- along with the Nintendo Wii and the NintendoWii -- are really just taking a different approach to the same issue. Where does this interaction go next? How do you bring the motion sensore gaming experience to the living room? Back to the Xbox 360 Kinect, though: we think that there's some really fighting spirit inside that cool, glossy shell, but the Kinect definitely has a lot of growing up to do.

  • Remedy Confirmed To Be Working On Next-Gen Xbox Game!

The Linkedin profile of John Root, a motion capture and virtual production specialist, confirms that Remedy have been working on a next-gen Xbox (he calls "Xbox 720") game since August 2010! http://www.linkedin.com/in/johnroot086 Quote:Lead Animator Remedy Entertainment Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Computer Games industry August 2010 – October 2011 (1 year 3 months) Remedy brought me on to Lead an upgrade to the character pipeline for use on next generation consoles (XBox 720) I installed a FACS based scanning and facial motion capture pipeline on top of a muscle / skeleton based body rig that is currently generating industry leading data in real-time. One of the more interesting endeavours was a compression technique for converting vertex cache into bone based transforms. Remedy is a wonderful company that truly appreciates fidelity of performance. - 26 hours ago

  • Best Kinect Music Video Yet! Freak Flag by Here Come The Mummies

Here's an awesome cel-shaded music video for a song called Freak Flag by a band called Here Come The Mummies that was animated using Kinect by Bobby's Brane. http://www.bobbysbrane.com/animation-fun...n-fun.html Quote:Allow me to introduce the world's greatest unknown band by way of my greatest creative achievement. Meet Here Come the Mummies! All mummies were animated with the assistance of iPi Soft's desktop motion capture software and Microsoft's Kinect Sensor. Both Daz 3D (in particularl) and Turbosquid (in general) were essential resources for this challenging gig. Life-saving sound effects are from Freesound.org. • codes for unlockable outfits

At DC'S main Screen, use the code: LUXURY (Left on D-pad. Up on D-pad. X button. Up on D-pad. Right on D-pad. Y button.) This will disable all achievements, but it will allow you to play with new hidden characters. The avatar commonly referred to as "Luxury" and/or the "Pink Ninja" can be obtained if Left, Up, X, Up, Right, Y (LUXURY) is entered at the title screen using the control pad. He wears a mostly pink ninja costume, with two wooden nunchucks in each hand. Once you select a song, he will be set as the default avatar. The pink ninja has been reported to actually be an unlockable outfit for Oblio rather than an additional dancer. However, according to the official Dance Central website, the ninja is not Oblio, but rather a distinct character dubbed "Ttiw Tolrep". The name is composed of the surnames of the character's designers, Shawn Witt and Matt "Perly" Perlot, spelled backwards. Extra Costumes At the title screen enter the following codes using your controller (you should hear a noise confirming that you entered the code correctly). Effect Code Mo'Original (BUDDY) B, Up, Down, Down, Y Obli wearing motorcycle helmet (BLURRY) B, Left, Up, Right, Right, Y Pink Ninja (LUXURY) Left, Up, X, Up, Right, Y Unlocks Everything (BUBBLY) B, Up, B, B, Left, Y - 2 days ago

  • MirageTable

MirageTable is the latest Microsoft Research project using Kinect. It creates an interactive hologram-style effect by using a projector to project the images on a curved surface in front of you and your hand if the image is meant to to be on your hand, such as if you hold a ball. Kinect is used to work out the depth, track you for the interaction and also to capture the images of people and real-life objects when needed: - 5 days ago

  • Avengers: Battle for Earth

might as well start up an "official" discussion thread. here's the official press release: http://marvel.com/news/story/18710/ubiso..._for_earth excerpts (see link for full text): Ubisoft and Marvel Entertainment have joined forces to develop a video game based on the popular Avengers characters and other heroes and villains from the Marvel Universe. Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, "Marvel Avengers: Battle for Earth’s" interactive environments are inspired by iconic Marvel comic artwork and the Secret Invasion storyline. The game will be released this fall for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft with Kinect for Xbox 360 and Nintendo’s Wii U system. - 7 days ago

  • Avengers Kinect - First footage?!

It turns out that the Avengers game was originally being made by THQ and due out at the same time as the film's cinema release but then THQ cancelled it when they laid off 200 employees. Is Ubisoft just finishing off THQ's game? Watch this footage of THQ's unfinished game, it looks pretty cool, could this be the Kinect version?! Here's the full version of the footage featured in the previous video. I really think it is the Kinect version! Why would they show off Captain America grabbing a ledge as a feature if it was a joypad-based game? I'm guessing the point of showing that off is that you actually have to grab ledges with your hands via Kinect. Also look at all the melee stuff and the throws, it's like Rise Of Nightmares meets Kinect Rush as far as game mechanics go. This also looks really similar to my ideas for a Kinect Avengers game. (As far as the different characters' moves.) Except that instead of a first-person view I thought of a very close to the camera third-person with translucent characters a bit like Rally Ball in Kinect Adventures. - 7 days ago

Kinect vs. Move

The Kinect by Microsoft is the hottest product launched by Microsoft since the Zune. It is a motion controller that allows kids or parents or just about anyone to interact with a variety of video games without having to use a traditional controller like the one used on the Wii by Nintendo. The Kinect was first announced in May 2009 and the excitement for the original device was justified in retrospect. It was originally called Project Natal and Microsoft was very careful not to divulge details of the project before they were able to announce a product ship date. It was released on November 4, 2010. The retail cost is $149 for the standalone unit and $299 with the 4G Microsoft Xbox 360. The number one game for the device is the Kinect Adventures title "Rallyball".  The Kinect sensor has a glossy feel and looks a lot like the other products connected with and to the Xbox 360. There are three cameras on the front of the unit and these actually use virtual synthesis to capture your motions and interact them into the game.

PS3 Move Reviews

Kinectimals

For little children Kinectimals will charm and delight. With this Kinect game for the Xbox 360 young children can actually become the animals they love most. The names of the animals are fun, for example you have Bumble the bee fairy. The animals live on Lemuria, an Island in the game.

This game will remind you of EyePet, a game available on Facebook or even the classic Tamagotchi. Adults may be turned off by the ultracuteness of Kinectimals but little children are sure to love it.

As Microsoft says, with Kinect You Are The Controller! Nintendo and Sony are working on their own types of motion controllers but for now you have to live with the Playstation Move or the Nintendo Wiimote if you want to control your game and your game experience.
